"We are excited to be a part of Intel's Schools of Distinction program this year. Intel was an original funder of our Engineering is Elementary (EiE) curricula series that engages students in authentic engineering design challenges, so it made sense for the winning elementary schools to receive some of these award-winning, teacher-tested, standards-based units. Teachers report that the EiE units work well with all kinds of students and learning styles. So far, the EiE curriculum has reached over 15,600 teachers and 1 million students in the United States. We hope that the winning schools and the finalists will continue to work hard and inspire others to excel in STEM education."
